This Privacy Policy explains how MaidOnCall collects, uses, stores, processes, discloses, and protects your personal information. By using our Platform, you consent to the practices described herein. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

All Users (customers) who access, register on, or use the Platform;
All Experts (service providers) registered or listed on the Platform;

Payment-related information (processed via secure third-party payment gateways; MaidOnCall does not store full card details);
Information provided during customer support interactions, feedback, complaints, or reviews.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Platform, we may automatically collect:
Device information (device model, operating system, unique device identifiers);
IP address, browser type, and browser version;
Location data (with your permission, for service matching and delivery);
Platform usage data (pages visited, features used, time spent, access timestamps);
App performance data, crash reports, and diagnostics;
Cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 7).
3.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from:
Payment processors and financial institutions (transaction verification);
Third-party identity verification or background check services;

MaidOnCall may process SPDI as defined under the SPDI Rules, including financial information (bank account or card details). Such information is collected only with your express consent and is processed with heightened security measures.
4. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING
MaidOnCall processes your personal data for the following purposes:
To create and manage your Account on the Platform;
To facilitate booking, matching, and delivery of Pro Services;
To process payments and issue invoices or receipts;
To verify your identity and prevent fraud, unauthorized access, or misuse;
To provide customer support, resolve disputes, and respond to enquiries;
To send transactional notifications, booking confirmations, and service updates;
To improve Platform functionality, user experience, and service quality;
To conduct analytics, trend analysis, and statistical research on an aggregated or anonymized basis;
To communicate promotional offers, new features, or service updates (with your consent, where required by law);
To comply with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory requirements;
To protect the legal rights, safety, and interests of MaidOnCall, Experts, and Users.
5. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
5.1 With Experts
We share relevant information (such as your name, address, contact number, booking details, and household information) with the Expert assigned to your Booking to enable service delivery.
5.2 With Service Providers and Partners
We share information with third-party service providers, technology partners, and consultants who assist in operating the Platform, processing payments, conducting background checks, providing analytics, or delivering customer support. Such third parties are contractually obligated to process data only for permitted purposes and to maintain appropriate security standards.
5.3 With Payment Processors
Payment information is shared with third-party payment processors solely for the purpose of processing and settling transactions.
5.4 With Legal and Regulatory Authorities
We may disclose your information to law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, courts, or other governmental authorities:
If required by law or court order;
To enforce our legal rights;
To protect the safety and security of Users, Experts, or the public;
In connection with any criminal, civil, or regulatory investigation or proceeding.
5.5 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of all or part of MaidOnCall's business or assets, your information may be transferred to the acquirer or successor entity, subject to this Privacy Policy.
5.6 Aggregated / Anonymized Data
MaidOnCall may share anonymized or aggregated data (which cannot identify you personally) with partners, researchers, or for public reporting purposes.
5.7 No Sale of Personal Data
MaidOnCall does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for commercial purposes.
6. DATA SECURITY
MaidOnCall implements reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or destruction. These measures include:

Notwithstanding the above, no internet-based platform can guarantee absolute security. MaidOnCall shall not be liable for:

Acts or omissions of third-party service providers.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials. Do not share your password with any third party.
7. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
7.1 What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit the Platform. We use cookies and similar technologies (web beacons, pixels, local storage) for the following purposes:
Essential Cookies: Necessary for the Platform to function (e.g., login session, cart);

Upon termination of your Account, personal data shall be deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by applicable law or ongoing legal proceedings.
Transaction records and financial data may be retained for a period of up to 3 years from the date of the transaction, or longer if required by any applicable law or ongoing legal proceedings.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
Access: Request a copy of the personal data MaidOnCall holds about you;
Correction: Request correction or update of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations);
Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent to processing at any time (where processing is consent-based), which may limit access to certain Services;
Data Portability: Request transfer of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format (as applicable under law);
Objection: Object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes;
Grievance Redressal: Lodge a complaint with our Grievance Officer (see Section 14).

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. MaidOnCall does not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a person under 18, we shall delete such data promptly. 11. THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES AND LINKS
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites, services, or applications. MaidOnCall is not responsible for the privacy practices, security, or content of such third-party platforms. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit. Accessing third-party links is entirely at your own risk.
12. CROSS-BORDER DATA TRANSFERS
Your personal data is primarily stored and processed within India. In the event data is transferred to or processed in any jurisdiction outside India (e.g., by a third-party cloud service or analytics provider), MaidOnCall shall ensure adequate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable law, including contractual obligations requiring the recipient to maintain data protection standards equivalent to those applicable in India.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
MaidOnCall may update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, or business practices. Any changes shall be effective immediately upon publication on the Platform. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes, including by in-app notification or email where applicable.
Your continued use of the Platform after any such change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. It is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically.

15. GOVERNING LAW
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Privacy Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
16. ELECTRONIC RECORD
This Privacy Policy is an electronic record within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and does not require any physical or digital signature.
CONSENT
By using the Platform, you confirm that: (a) you are above 18 years of age; (b) you have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy; and (c) your consent constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and MaidOnCall.
